OUR MISSION

We Endeavor to Contribute Towards Improved Quality of Life
at Home, at Work, at Play and in the Community

The Community Guider™ is designed to play an integral role with up-to-date information, articles, tips and statistics educating readers about local concerns, general safety & security topics and the role that our Community Services play.

Pages on Business, Home and Personal safety along with the “Senior Pages, cover topical issues that affect us all.  Our friend and pet professional, Yvette Van Veen from Awesome Dogs, a well known syndicated columnist and award winning writer, will respond to your safety concerns about your best friend inside The “Pet Pages”. Yvette combines experience and the latest research to bring you up to the minute advice. Featured in radio, newspapers,t.v., and magazines across North America, people have come to rely on her as someone who is in touch with the pet industry, and in touch with the science of dog training. An advocate of dog bite prevention, she is co-founder of Meeting Milo, a North American initiative to reduce the nearly two million dog bites to children each year.

The “Kidz Pages” will highlight timely safety content for children in a unique ‘pull-out’ style from the center of the magazine to encourage them to become a part of this resource, and taking some personal ownership.  Interactivity will help them to get their questions answered from sources that normally they would not have easy access to. If one young life can make a better decision or is saved from harm through these pages, our jobs will have been done.  These pages will be fun too. Daisy May from Daisy May Publishing Co., known for her workshops designed to teach both children & adults how to write and publish books will add a few twists.

We have developed strong alliances with our Community Emergency Services who have important messages to share. We are very excited about the opportunity to join them within one publication to form the “Community Pages. London Police & Fire Services, Thames EMS, The OPP, Neighbourhood Watch London and Block Parents will engage in an interactive forum providing an opportunity to ask questions facilitating an open communication link between our readers and these key organizations.

This also provides our own team an opportunity to learn from our readers so that we may continue to provide a product that is literally second to none.

Our Road and Vehicle Pages will grip you.  The motoring public in London will find this section to be of the utmost value to our community.  This forum will have a very specific safety spin to it and it will attempt to address the many concerns that you have always had but had no where to express them, or get answers to.  Now you do.  And we can’t wait to hear from you. We will be featuring an interactive column where Amanda Carpenter of Vehicle Works will provide our readers with her years of expertise in the automotive industry.  Amanda is a licensed service technician with Inter-Provincial accreditation, ASE certified, a member of the APA and a former member of the Provincial Advisory Committee, reporting to the Minister of Education and Training on issues of apprenticeship, training, and professional image.  Amanda has spoken to various groups and schools, and on both radio and television promoting non-traditional tradesThis section will also work closely with the traffic divisions of both the London Police Services and the OPP, keeping you informed about their continuous efforts and initiatives on our roadways.

The Community Guider™ fosters interaction, involvement, and active participation ensuring readership.
